Climate of India
We can analyse a climate of India based on the Köppen system. India hosts six major climatic subtypes, ranging from arid desert in the west (W), alpine tundra and glaciers in the north (N), and humid tropical regions supporting rain-forests in the southwest (SW) and the island territories. Many regions of India have starkly different micro-climates. The nation of India has four seasons: winter (January–February), summer (March–May), a monsoon - rainy period (June–September) and a post-monsoon season (October–December).
